Member of the Month

Mindy Guido is the featured member for the month of February. Mindy has tremendous passion for CrossFit; the success she has achieved training with us is amazing. Here is what Mindy has to say about CrossFit training...

"I am the "fifty-something" mother of two grown kids, retired elementary school teacher for 30 years and exercise fanatic since the age of 15! Traditional training in the gym, often with a trainer, was my primary workout for hours each week, along with biking, some 5K runs and recently have added yoga. My daughter and I started with Altamonte CrossFit 3 months ago and it is fantastic! CrossFit has increased my energy, stamina, and my metabolism. I think I now have too much energy!!
I look forward to each WOD and the fact that I have NO more boredom when working out. I feel younger and super-charged every day!!"

Thank you for being part of our CrossFit family Mindy!

Break Up Those Hips and Fix That Squat

 Source: t-nation.com

"Ever hear a trainer try to explain why their client can't get below parallel on a squat? Once you get past the token explanations about bad knees, aching backs, or tight body parts, the next issue is usually the hips" ....click HERE for the full article.
